Landscapes of the Yazd-Ardakan Plain (Iran) and the Assessment of Geotourism—Contribution to the Promotion and Practice of Geotourism and Ecotourism

The attractions and capabilities of geomorphosites are among the unique assets each country, their identification, classification, planning have great importance for development tourism. purpose this research was to identify, quantitatively analyse, classify landforms treated as geosites landscapes Yazd Province, using Pralong method. present study is a descriptive analytical based on library studies field surveys. After determining area satellite imagery, six were selected. Using method, evaluated: Chak Chak, Mountain Eagle, Siahkooh, Shirkooh, Qanat, Barfkhane Tezerjan. In extraction collected data from questionnaires completed by 41 geotourism experts in first stage, four grades that evaluated terms potential capability include appearance aesthetic, scientific, historical-cultural, socio-economic variables, next step, two variables productivity value quality evaluated. results evaluations showed Tezerjan had highest score (0.62) best converting ecotourism applications, they high attracting tourists. second place dedicated Shirkooh geomorphosite, which considerable average tourism grade. belonged geomorphosite with 0.52, last one Eagle 0.32. All medium grade qualitative scale index, meaning good geotouristic ecotouristic points view could be improved regional planning. Therefore, can used local managers planners develop promote ecotourism.
